Why train a Trainer?

Imagine you have a new product that will soon hit the market.

You’ve been involved in similar products before and you’ve even had a hand in developing this one. You just need to explain it to internal staff, external retailers, customers, influencers or press and, with your experience, you’re the perfect person to teach others, right?

Not necessarily.

Yet.

Your product knowledge goes a long way, and it’s this that will help to give you credibility when you’re dealing with challenging questions from your audience, but what’s your end goal?

Do you just want your audience to go away understanding the intricacies of a phone's processor, the sensor on a camera or the type of stitching on a pair of shoes?

These things are undoubtedly important, but if you really want your audience to be excited about your product – to buy into it themselves and to go away and actively tell others why they should buy it – you need to be able to get them enthused in your session. You need your trainees to walk away knowing all the details, coupled with an unwavering emotional connection; an emotional connection to the session, to you as a trainer and ultimately to the product.

Then, when the finer details of that processor, sensor or stitching begin to fade, there will still be a lasting impression that yours is a truly great product; one which made the audience member feel really excited.

In our train-the-trainer sessions we look at presentation skills, different communication styles, how to manage your audience’s attention in a positive and impactful way and many other subjects that will help you and your team turn their product knowledge into engaging and exciting presentations that will leave a lasting impression.

Just because we need to impart information doesn’t mean we need to behave like a stereotypical professor, robotically pushing our wisdom onto others. Let's make sure our training is as effective and enjoyable as it can possibly be.
